Military papers, 1766-1768.

Papers concerning Major Robert Rogers' controversial command of Fort Michilimackinac and his court martial for treason in 1768 which resulted from his actions connected to the Indian trade. Included is one original document, a 1767 warrant of esteem from Major Rogers to Okimasy, a Menominee Indian. The bulk of the collection are negative photostat copies of papers held by the Canadian Archives, the Public Record Office in London, and the American Antiquarian Society.
